馬林魚隊重砲史丹頓（Giancarlo Stanton）日前因跑壘鼠蹊部拉傷，今天賽前首度向媒體說明，跑壘當下就有預感會受傷，目前正積極復健，希望能趕在9月底復出。

史丹頓在本月14日跑壘拉傷，經過檢查是第3級拉傷，被球隊放入15天傷兵名單，能否在季末復出，攸關馬林魚隊爭奪外卡資格。

史丹頓經過近兩周休養，今天首度受訪，他指出，「每天都在復健，嘗試任何可能讓我回到場上的方式，身體會告訴我何時能回到球場。」

史丹頓說，自己仍能像慢動作重播一樣，清晰記得受傷當下的每個細節。職棒生涯連3年都因受傷無法整季健康出賽，去年因左腕鉤骨骨折，僅出賽74場，缺席整個下半季。

>他懊惱地說「去年7、8個月脫離棒球，打亂了我的生理時鐘；今年不論能否趕上季末復出，我都會將自己準備好。」
